Our Story
Many years ago in Katherine Henderson’s salon, women would gather and exchange stories, talk about their struggles, and bond. Witnessing the healing power of community, her vision was to one day have a place where women could be their authentic selves and share their life experiences.
In 2008, she would begin having monthly gatherings in her home. Young and older women of all walks of life were invited. In 2014, their gathering was named Sisters United L.A.
To reach more women, in 2015 S.U.L.A. headed its first annual luncheon. Our vision is to create a space where intergenerational women from all cultures, backgrounds and denominations can receive love, truth, and healing.
Our Mission:
Being role models to younger women; connecting, mentoring and disciplining women to draw them to Christ by our example; building relationships that will last, and witnessing their lives being transformed by the power of God.
